After unpacking my shiny new USRP B205mini and setting it up under Windows 10, I was delighted to find it discovered readily by SDR-Console v3.
Currently, however, there appears to be no way to select an IF bandwidth wider than 16MHz in the radio selection dialog. The "Ettus Research" page on sdr-radio.com has the following note under the To-Do section:
- Apply the UHD update (when available) to support up to 61MHz bandwidth from the B200.

I'm simply curious if this update is expected soon. Does the current UHD release have the necessary components or is there something needed from Ettus? The program and device work together flawlessly otherwise over USB3 (maxing out on USB2 at 8MHz before stuttering).Thanks!/Andrew

Happy Friday, I can't save as a dll, windows 10 says "insufficient
permission", is their a work around for this?

Thanks for the feedback. The issue with 56mHz is, I believe in the UHD.dll code. As for bandwidth list sure, let me play with this but 28MHz is about the maximum youll see without shuddering. Ive made a note

For what it's worth, with a LimeSDR and 16 bit samples, my desktop PC gets stuttering at 60MHz but does fine at 40 and 50MHz. I'd imagine the bus throughput here is similar, so I'm cautiously optimistic if some other rates make it into the list. :)

50MHz is also the maximum here. I wouldnt try to increase this just for a few MHz as itll not be very reliable your USB bus could be used for other hardware from time to time, so best find the max. and back off a bit.
Anyway, 50MHz is a big difference compared to my first SDR a SDR-IQ with 192kHz!

the new xtrx does have a pcie connector ... no more bus speed problems

aehem ... there even is an octoboard ... sync up to EIGHT xtrx with each giving 120 megs ... means 960 megs of bandwidth .... with doing an iq recording you can fill up any harddrive in a very short time :-)

I don't think it's the UHD driver. I believe it's the USB-3 interface.
USB3 speed is typicaly ~112 MBps max => 896Mbps
I&Q streaming 16 bits each: 896Mbps/32 =~ 28 MHz streaming with no dropped bits
Going to 10Gbit Ethernet is the way to go if >25 MHz streaming is required. The ETTUS X310 does this.
(or reduce the stream rate with the FPGA !)

Agreed that 50MHz is a reasonable maximum for any USB3 radio... any chance of getting 50MHz added to the list of supported rates for the B2xx? I'm just looking for something between 28 and 56. :)
