Easy Steps to Level Your Dual Axle!

Step 1: Find a Level Surface

The first step to leveling your dual axle is to find a level surface to park your RV or trailer. This can be a paved driveway, a parking lot, or a campsite with a level pad. Use a bubble level or leveling app on your phone to ensure the surface is flat.

Step 2: Chock the Wheels

Before you start leveling, make sure to chock the wheels on both sides of the trailer to prevent it from rolling. You can use wheel chocks or blocks of wood to secure the wheels in place.

Step 3: Measure the Current Level

Using a leveling tool, check the current level of your dual axle from side to side. This will help you determine how much leveling you need to do.

Step 4: Adjust the Hitch Height

If the front of your trailer is too high, lower the hitch height by turning the crank or adjusting the electric jack. If the front is too low, raise the hitch height.

Step 5: Use Leveling Blocks

Place leveling blocks under the wheels on the low side of the trailer to raise it up to the desired level. You can use specially made leveling blocks or pieces of wood. Keep adding blocks until the bubble level reads level.

Step 6: Check Levelness Again

After adjusting the height of the trailer with leveling blocks, recheck the levelness from side to side to ensure it is completely level.

Step 7: Stabilize the Trailer

Once your dual axle is level, use stabilizing jacks or stabilizer pads to keep the trailer secure and prevent rocking.

Step 8: Fine-Tune if Needed

If the trailer is not completely level, make small adjustments to the leveling blocks until it is perfectly level from side to side.By following these easy steps, you can quickly and easily level your dual axle trailer or RV for a comfortable and stable camping experience.
