MINERAL COMPOUND FERTILIZERS FOR SPECIFIC CROPS OBTAINED BY PHYSICAL COMPACTION

The products of the K-SPECIAL LINE are complex mineral fertilizers that have been developed to provide a solution to the nutritional requirements of specialised crops: orchards, olive groves, vineyards, citrus groves, horticultural crops, hazelnut groves. These products have been created to provide the right amount of crop specific nutritional elements and a good availability of sulfur, calcium and microelements that should satisfy the basic nutritional requirements even of the most demanding crops.
The effectiveness of these products is improved by the granular formulation obtained through compaction, a dry granulation process borrowed from the pharmaceutical industry that uses mechanical compression to agglomerate the particles of the raw materials. This allows for granules to be obtained without adding solvents, which can have a negative impact on the final solubility of the product. The compacted granules rapidly dissolve in the ground allowing a fast nutrients' root uptake, making these fertilizers very efficacious. Low Chlorine Content (LCC/BTC) formulations are also available that couple all the advantages of the NPKs with the quality of Low-Chlorine Potassium (< 2%), which is the best quality of potassium.
NPK 12-12-17 B.T.C. is the fertilizer of the K-SPECIAL-ORTOFRUTTA LINE with a balanced combination of nutritional elements, formulated for all the crops and in particular for fruit crops, fruiting vegetables and flowers requiring high potassium uptake. The reported reduction for this product is achieved using ammonia, which has a CO2 footprint that is at least 60% lower than the market standard. This reduction is certified by our supplier and has been validated by an independent test center.

The value of 2.66 kg CO2e per kg of ammonia serves as a benchmark. This is based on average industrial emissions data for ammonia production from the European Renewable Energy Directive (RED II) and includes emissions from ammonia production and upstream hydrogen production.
